As well as being an artist I recently decided to take up a free training opportunity to become a gym instructor. The course was aimed at disabled people with the over arching aim to get more disabled people into gyms. I’ve been an avid gym goer for 6 years, so I jumped at the opportunity. Upon completing the training RNIB’s media team wanted to promote this achievement and issued a press release. This was picked up by Prima magazine who were running an article on 5 inspirational women of varying stories and ages.
Well, I’ve never had a massive desire to be a model and despite being fun the Prima experience cemented that idea for me. Hours of hair, changing clothes, make up and posing. I am however really pleased with the article and the images. The article focuses mainly on my gym work but does mention the art work.
